  When we are paid on performance, we are given the perpetual temptation to sacrifice our values (maybe our health, relationships, our spirituality) in order to get ahead.

  At some point we look back at our life and our business and say, “I can’t live like this any more.”

  So we take our foot off the gas. Maybe do some personal development. Maybe we go on a vacation or sabbatical, all while neglecting the things we need to be doing to grow our business.

  The savings start to dwindle, and we can’t go on like this forever. So what do we do?

  We swing the pendulum the other way and dive hard back into our work. Neglecting our personal priorities, AGAIN… And we do this over, and over, and over. This is the entrepreneurial pendulum.

  And at some point we stop and ask ourselves, “What am I doing? Is this the life I want? I can’t take this up and down financial rollercoaster anymore. Maybe I should just let this go and get a “safe” job”

  Hi, My name is John Israel. Author, keynote speaker, and business coach 20+ years sales and business experience.
